How to prepare for a senior security-architecture interview
Senior security-architecture interviews rarely test whether you can recite a control catalogue. They test whether you can make a defensible decision under pressure and explain the trade-offs behind it. The fastest way to get ready is to stop studying passively and start practising the decisions themselves.
Begin with an honest diagnostic. Map where you stand against the competencies a panel will probe, so you spend your time on the gaps that matter instead of re-reading what you already know.

Practise the decision, then defend it
Work through decision scenarios the way you would answer them in the room: choose an option, then write the justification. The written defence is where most candidates improve the fastest, because it forces the reasoning out of your head and onto the page where it can be scored.
Pair that with hands-on labs for the role track you are targeting — Security Architect, GRC, Network, Cloud, or Digital Asset / Crypto Custody — so your practice looks like the job, not a quiz.
"Interviewers trust the reasoning they can hear. Practise saying it out loud."
Revisit weak areas on a spaced schedule so the reasoning sticks between sessions, and track your readiness on the mastery dashboard rather than guessing at it.
When the competencies you were weakest on start scoring well, you are ready to run full practice interviews end to end. Do a few of those, review the coaching on each answer, and walk into the real interview having already made the hard calls once.
